Kent's Cottage is situated in the lovely village of Lower Odcombe, set below the Iron-Age hill fort of Ham Hill.  Our pretty two-bedroomed thatched cottage is Grade II listed and was built at the end of the 18th Century. It has recently been carefully modernised and is comfortably furnished and well-equipped,making it an ideal place from which to explore the surrounding countryside and nearby coast.
This pretty Hamstone cottage has full central heating but also for those cold winter evenings, there is an open log fire.  The fire is always laid for your first evening and even in the summer it is an enjoyable experience.  The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.  Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin bedded.  The rear bedroom looks out over fields where you might see horses or even llamas!  There is a small bathroom incorporating a toilet, shower and basin.

The garden has also been landscaped and now includes split-level patios, providing outdoor eating and a shaded arbour seating area. There is a gas BBQ at the rear of the garden.  Two sun loungers are provided for relaxing in the sun and the arbour seating is ideal for quiet reading or simply enjoying a glass of wine.

Odcombe is a quaint village with a thatched pub and farm shop.  The Mason's Arms, with its micro brewery, is renowned for its wonderful food and home brewed ales and is an enticing 50 metre stroll from the cottage.  The farm shop is a pretty walk through the village and is situated in a garden nursery selling fresh local vegetables, jams and cakes.  You can also purchase more coal and logs for the fire.  Two doors down you can buy fresh, free range chicken and duck eggs for breakfast from our neighbour.
